John Rudesheim talks about his experience at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

RUDESHEIM: Yeah, today was awesome. We got a little bit of rehearsal inside in the conference center, which was nice out of the cold.
RUDESHEIM: And then we came over here in the Alamodome and we're suited up. We're doing a run through, a dress rehearsal. It was a little bit shaky in the beginning, but got everything worked out, and I'm really excited for tomorrow... for the real deal.
RUDESHEIM: We've done it a couple times before, but it felt a little better in the uniform and without a metronome, you know, just with the natural drums and the natural band and the drum major leading us. It was awesome to run through the whole show and now we're just kinda tweaking things here and there.
RUDESHEIM: Yeah, there's definitely a lot of people that helped me become an All American musician and get me where I am today. My mom is one of them, being a musician herself, you know, she kinda helped me out... pushed me to practice... did all those things. Definitely my band directors, Spencer Greg and Tammy Hench, they kinda pushed me into this and I realized it was something I really wanted to do, and once I was committed, they were fully committed, and we kinda just went through the whole ride together. I couldn't have done this without them.
RUDESHEIM: I think I've bonded with the whole drum line. We've all been together and we've all been going through this experience together, and its been an awesome one, so we've all kinda come together as a big team and a big family. And I think I bonded with all of 'em.
RUDESHEIM: My most favorite part has been tonight: the run through, putting on the uniform finally, and getting down to business. RUDESHEIM: I'm John Rudesheim. Thanks for watching my All American Bowl Week experience. Check back tomorrow for our halftime performance.
