SPC Antoine Grimes describes a day of life on post: 9-5 day, have time to spend time with family. Education and online courses help him achieve his career goal.
Phyllis: His daily life on Post was just about what I expected.
Antoine: A typical day for me is I normally wake up about five in the morning, have the morning formation, conduct PT.
Antoine: From there, it's pretty much a nine-to-five day. After work, I can go home and still be able to have time with my family.
Phyllis: By the Army giving him the opportunity for his education, and the courses he's taking online now, I really think he's focused and I really think he's headed in the right direction.
Antoine: Right now, the classes I'm taking are going to help me get a certificate in computer technology along with an Associate's. And then after that, I plan to further my education and pursue a Bachelor's degree in Applied Science and Computer Technology.
