SPC Jodie Wood - parents talk about the experience at Basic Training graduation, how their daughter has changed for the better. Jodie wanted a challenge, army was a rewarding experience.

Deb: Basic Training graduation was absolutely incredible. I can't describe the feeling that it gave me. I certainly look at the American flag a whole lot different, and I thought I was a pretty proud, patriotic person before.
Buddy: The Army has really made her focus on today, tomorrow, especially her future. I think she knows why she?s there, what she?s in for and where she's headed. And I don?t know if she always had that in her life before.
Jodie: Well, that's the one thing I noticed a lot about the Army in general is it's going to be what you want it to be. You?re going to get out of it as much as you put into it.
Buddy: She felt she wanted more of a challenge I believe, and that?s what the Army has offered her. No question about that.
Jodie: It's been the most rewarding experience I think I've ever done.
