2013 Football Day 2 - US Army All-American Bowl

Greg Webb: Tonight was just a nice little competition between West and East; eating, push-ups competition and sit-ups, and even the Soldiers joined in, that was good.
MSG Carlos Valarezo: I used to play football myself, I can relate in many ways. His practices are long hours, going hungry, thirsty, hit, hurting, still driving on, same thing with the military.
The only thing that's different between us two right now is that we have different uniforms.
In the military is doesn't matter what nationality, what race, what gender you are, you become a family, brothers and sisters no matter where you go. Wherever there green grass there a brother or sister for you.
And even though I don't know a lot of these people out here, they're wearing this uniform and I know I can rely and fall back on. Same thing with him, with his teammates, what makes me feel closer to him and all the rest of them, is they got that same bond.
And now they get mixed up here in the All-American Bowl not knowing each other, now they've got to function as a team. Team will fall apart if you got one or two that can't work together.
Greg Webb: It feels good, it feels good to be representing for what my whole family stands for the most part. Getting to represent what my mom stands for and what she believes.
I love my country and I love what the Army stands for. If I weren't a football player I would most definitely be in the Army.
