John Rudesheim talks about his experience at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

RUDESHEIM: My day has been pretty hectic. I got here around noon, checked in, and then, uh, pretty much after that it was all overwhelming, but uh, in a good way. It's cool to meet all these, uh, wonderful kids.
SOLDIER: I just wanna say thanks, uh, for what you guys do every day, as, uh, students. I think, uh, if I understand this right, all of you are Seniors getting ready to start college somewhere.
RUDESHEIM: The welcome dinner was awesome, you know, the Army made us feel at home and all the staff was just awesome. It was great to see them and meet them finally. And we had the, uh, the volunteers play from the US Army Field Band. And they're just great, and uh, it was awesome to be welcomed here finally. To see what it's like.
BAND LEADER: Ok, here we go!
RUDESHEIM: Teamwork is a huge thing around here, especially with me on the bass line, you know, everything's split up into parts so you have to hear and work together in order to get it right. So just, uh, the bass line playing in general is a great example of teamwork, and what we can do. I'm most excited for, I think, the final product, and getting there, and seeing what we've done and what we've accomplished over this week. It's going to be a great feeling stepping out on to the field at half time in front of all those fans and just, just letting them hear what we've been working on forever, and why we're here. I think that's gonna be, uh, the thing that I'm most looking forward to.
RUDESHEIM: I'm John Rudesheim. We just finished our first day, and rehearsal here at the US Army All American Bowl week, in the marching band. So tune in tomorrow and see what happens.
