John Rudesheim talks about his experience at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

RUDESHEIM: Today was the big day. We had a rehearsal early this morning around 8. Just a quick run-through, getting things perfect for the game. And then we had the game. We went there, saw the first quarter of the football game, an awesome game. Then we went behind the scenes, into the tunnel, got ready, got amped to play. Came out of the tunnel, did our thing....
RUDESHEIM: If I had to narrow it down, what I'm going to take away from this experience would probably be? back to my band at least? Be a team player. Don't be selfish be self-less. And that's something that's very important in marching band. Everyone has to work together. There's a big thing they said: There's no honor in being on your spot if you're out of the form. You know, you have to be a team player and be with everyone else. And then in life, just keep your eyes and your ears open. Absorb as much as you can as you go through life. It's gonna go by very fast, and if you absorb as much as possible, you're gonna be that much better and that much ahead of the game.
RUDESHEIM: Definitely means a lot to play in front of all those soldiers at the Army All American Bowl. Just showing them what we've worked on and kinda putting on a show for all the work they've done, and all the things they've been through. We're just kinda paying tribute to that, and it's good to represent the Army in something that was as good as our show was.
RUDESHEIM: Sitting out there on the field as the fans are on their feet, you know, we're finished and just that feeling of relief - we got it done, and we did it, as well as we did it out there. That was probably the best feeling I've had all week.
RUDESHEIM: Definitely, I'm excited that I was involved in something as big as this. And it's kinda sad to have something go by as fast as this did, and I kinda want to do more, you know. We finished today, and we were like, all right? let's go do another run-through, you know. But we couldn't, so it's sad that I'm leaving all these great musicians and all these great people so soon, but I'm also excited that I had the opportunity to do this.
RUDESHEIM: I'm John Rudesheim. It's been a fabulous week here at the Army All American Bowl. Thank you for following my experience through it all.
