How do you stay mentally prepared for going

Col. Timothy Kopra answers Karen Thermonfight from Cedar Park, Texas, who asks; "How do you stay mentally prepared for going into space when the launch can and does get scrubbed times repeatedly, it must take great mental discipline?"

The last question today is from Karen Thermonfight and Karen is from Cedar Park, Texas, which I'm very fond of, it's close to Austin, Texas is where I grew up, and her question is; "How do you stay mentally prepared for going into space when the launch can and does get scrubbed times repeatedly, it must take great mental discipline?"
Well you know, I don't think it takes great mental discipline. I think what it takes is patience and flexibility and those are things that I work on every single day. But I learn those largely from working in the Army and also from my space station training. So I would encourage any young person out there when they pursue their goals to always remain flexible and be persistent and achieve your goals one step at a time.
It's been my pleasure talking to you today from the International Space Station, Bye-bye.
