Each deployment is very different, very unique"
John: My mother's always been very supportive of any deployment. My wife and sister, they can all understand, it just takes some getting used to the idea that I am deploying, that I did volunteer for it.
Cathy: Each deployment is very different, very unique. With Iraq, they were going to war. I mean they were on the move and it was a whole different ball game.
Cathy: It's just really important to just take one day at a time, stay as informed as you can. The way I handle that is to get involved.
Cathy: Family Readiness Groups are wonderful. The Army itself is a family, and when your own natural family is 2,000 miles away, you know you can turn to your Army brother or sister for the support you need.
