The Honor of U.S. Army Racing
Tony Gibson, Crew Chief “Its an honor for us to be able to represent the men and women in the armed forces.”
Mike Green, Crew Chief “I don’t think any of us (our crew) realized what it meant to work on the army dragster until we started doing it.
Tony Gibson, Crew Chief “So for us when we strap on our Army uniform or fire suit, or that car when we are pushing it out on pit lane or watching out on that race track, you know we’re proud.”
Ryan Newman, Driver “You can give us all the same engine package, you can give us all the same shocks and springs, but the biggest way to gain an edge is with people.”
Tony Schumacher, Driver “This is the winningest car in top fuel history, we don’t bring probably, we don’t bring second best we bring bad to the bone, well trained, best equipped people. That's what the Army does.”
Ryan Newman, Driver “You can think about whats behind you, but you better be thinking about whats in front of you.”
Tony Gibson, Crew Chief “When you put the Army on there man and you see that star and everybody at the race track is like man thats a cool car. You got fans coming up that have been in the service or have family members that are fighting now, when they come up and thank us for what were doing, it hits you in the heart, you know it means a lot to us.”
Ryan Newman, Driver “Made me appreciate every part of US Army even more.”
