Active Army Occupational Therapist
As an occupational therapist and an Officer on the U.S. Army Health Care Team, you'll learn to use the latest technology to help Soldiers and their Families improve their lives. As part of our multidisciplinary health care organization, you'll gain the experience needed to take your career to the next level.
Requirements include:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited occupational therapy program
- Completion of an occupational therapy field work experience
- Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
- Must be between 21 and 42 years of age (may request a waiver)
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Students graduating within six months, with a qualifying degree from a U.S.-accredited school, may apply for Active Army service

- Paid continuing education, including post-graduate training programs in orthopedics, emergency medicine, cardiopulmonary perfusion and occupational medicine

Army Reserve Occupational Therapist
As an occupational therapist and an Officer on the U.S. Army Reserve Health Care Team, you'll have the opportunity to develop unique skills that will enhance your career. You'll also be able to practice in your community and serve when needed. Most importantly, you'll make a difference in the lives of our Soldiers and their Families.
Requirements include:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited occupational therapy program
- Completion of an occupational therapy field work experience
- Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
- Must be between 21 and 42 years of age (may request a waiver)
- State license
- Permanent U.S. residency
