Introducing the Accelerated Army Enlistment Option. This program provides you the opportunity to serve as a Soldier on active duty for just 15 months after completing your initial training. Here's how it works. You choose from up to 60 different Army specialties—ranging from Firefighter to Combat Engineer to Finance Specialist. The specialty you choose is based on your qualifications, your experience and, naturally, your abilities. Apart from the skills you'll get and the chance to do something for your country, you'll walk away with either $5,000 cash or up to $18,000 to pay back your qualified student loans. Not to mention the fact that your student loan payments are deferred while you serve. The skills you learn through the Accelerated Army Enlistment Option will be highly valued by civilian employers. You will have more than just training—you will have experience. So, ask yourself, where do you want to be in a couple of year's time? As part of the Accelerated Army Enlistment Option, not only will you be gaining valuable, real-world skills, you can choose from one of the following financial benefits: • $5,000 bonus. Payable in one lump sum when you complete your 15 months of active-duty service. • Up to $18,000 to repay your qualified student loans once you complete your 15 months of active-duty service. • 12 or 36 months of education allowances paid every month after you complete your 15 months of active-duty service. 
With the Accelerated Army Enlistment Option you will serve in a variety of phases. Phase one: After your nine weeks of basic training and advanced individual training (training time is dependent on your chosen Army specialty), you will serve 15 months of active-duty service. Phase two: Two (2) years of service in the Army Reserve Phase three: Continue service for remaining time in the following:
* After your initial training and 15 months of service on active duty, your total time commitment will be up to five (5) years. 
There are many diverse Army specialties available in the Accelerated Army Enlistment Option. Each comes with skills you can use for life.
